From a voice note to a finished track
You can start with a voice note, lyrics, a chorus, a demo or a song you already perform. Together, we develop the writing and arrangement, choose sounds and instrumentation, and capture performances that serve the song.
The work can include songwriting, recording, production, mixing and final delivery, with the scope agreed around your project.
How we work
We begin with your music, references and what you want the record to communicate. From there, we identify what is already working and what needs developing: the melody, structure, tempo, vocal approach or production. You stay involved in the creative decisions throughout.
Recording is part of that process. Sometimes a simpler arrangement reveals the song; sometimes an unexpected instrument or a different performance opens it up. The aim is a record that feels like you.
Where sessions take place
Writing and recording sessions take place at Mad Fox London in Hampstead. For a longer, immersive project, we can discuss residential recording at Willow Lake Studios in the Lake District.
Questions before you book
Do I need a polished demo?
No. An early recording or voice note is enough to start a conversation. Include lyrics if you have them and a few reference tracks that help explain the direction.
Can we work on an EP or album?
Yes. Project development brings the songs, sound and recording plan together across a body of work. Artist development focuses on the longer creative partnership.
How are the cost and schedule agreed?
Send your music, the number of songs, the stage you are at and any intended release date. We can then discuss the work involved, your budget, scheduling and deliverables before booking.
